Paws for a Cause
Visual Communications II
Webflow, Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator
2023
Paws for a Cause is a concept for a two-day charity event intended to clear the
shelters of San Francisco. I created the brand identity and website as
deliverables, as well as some trial merch. The brand guide was created in Figma, while the site was created in Webflow. This website is intended to
represent the weird, adorable parts of San Francisco's dog culture. I wanted to play with the animation option on Webflow, creating new silly interactions on each page.

Brand Guide
The brand guide was super fun to work on. I wanted to include the fun illustrations and strong brand identity I created in every element. I initially wanted to do an aesthetic inspired by New Yorker covers, but I went for a more rigid style to preserve readability at every screen size. If I had made the entire site in doodle JPEGs, it would have been difficult to keep the same sharp quality at different screen sizes, though it would have been a fun experiment. Instead, I only incorporated the golden retriever illustration.
Lo-fi and Hi-fi wireframing on Procreate. Since I didn't know the limitations of my Webflow skills, I struggled with finding creative solutions for some of the more difficult pages I wanted to make. In practice, I ended up simplifying some of the more complex pages due to lack of time and adding more photography (yes, the adoptee page is made up of my friends' pets!). If I could do this project over again, I would spend more time planning.
